Dear Redeeming Grace,

What a joy it was to celebrate Jesus' resurrection together last weekend. Dave encouraged us in ways we can respond to the risen Christ, and one of those ways is to experience joy in Him.

As we thought about Mary going to the tomb on that Sunday, we marveled that it was when Jesus simply called her name that she recognized him. Because she belonged to the Lord, she heard his voice. And for all those who Jesus has called to himself, we've heard his voice as well.

There is much joy to be found in reflecting on and giving thanks for how merciful and kind the Lord has been to each of us. We encourage you if you haven't lately, reflect on the story of how God saved you. How it is that you first came to understand the love and grace of God when you turned from sin and trusted Christ's finished work for you. There's a wellspring of joy to be found in meditating on how the Lord called you by name.
