The Reach of Redemption

Dear Redeeming Grace,

In Jason's message last week, we were reminded of a glorious truth: "no one is too far from the reach of redemption."

The gospel is for all people. That reality becomes sweeter when we remember that includes us! We were once far off, in need of redemption, but we've been brought near by the blood of Christ (Eph. 2:13). Our hearts should overflow in wonder, like the hymn writer, saying "Amazing love! How can it be, that Thou, my God, should die for me?"

And from that place of wonder, we tell others. We join in the long line of witnesses who were not too far from the reach of redemption. We spread the fame of the gospel when we delight in sharing that Jesus loved us and gave himself for us.

As we continue to study and hear the testimony of God's saving power going to the ends of the earth through the book of Acts, let's keep on marveling that the good news came to us. And let's embrace the call on our lives to be Spirit-filled witnesses used by God to tell what Jesus has done.
