Dear Redeeming Grace,

As Dave reminded us so well last week, God's promises to us always prevail. Whether we feel we are under the darkest cloud, or in the warmth of the shining sun, God does not change. In fact, His word reminds us of this truth.

The writer of Hebrews, led by the Spirit states it this way:

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." (Hebrews 13:8 ESV)

Because God is unchanging and cannot lie, we are able to rest secure that he will faithfully keep all his promises to us. Among the many promises that we could list, one comes to mind for us this week:

"And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20b ESV)

The promise of God's ever-present nearness is a means for joy and peace in good times, and comfort when persevering through trials. In all our circumstances, we can turn to the Lord in prayer and declare "Lord, You are with me".

Redeeming Grace, may we cling to this and every promise of God's Word this week as we trust and follow our Savior.
